  • Work up to higher mileage
  • Race a half marathon

  • Run a marathon.
  • Keep running and stay fit for the rest of my life.

Personal:

Just graduated from Lehi High School and am headed down to SUU this fall. Besides running I also love hiking, boating, paddleboarding, the beach, the sun, the summer, basically anything warm :)

Forgot my clothes at home so then I was late for practice and had to run alone. It was a really good run though, just some good time to think about life and such. Afterwards some abs and shoutout to Guppy for hangin with me today!

Finally did a speed workout!!! 3 sets of 3×300 at goal mile pace for the indoor season with 45sec active rest between each 300 and 4min active rest between each set. My goal was to hit 60-62sec for each 300, my splits were 59 62 62 61 61 63 61 62 60. The workout was really good, my legs felt strong and like they might've had more to give, but it was really hard to breath on account of how cold it was outside. But overall I felt like it was a really solid workout and I feel ready for BYU on Saturday! Afterwards did some weights and I just finished a nice session of yoga which was fantastic.

300free warm up then 5 reps of:

3min hard aqua jog

1min easy aqua jog

25m free sprint straight into

25m free easy swim

30sec rest

And finished the workout with a 300free cool down.

Ran with Gan during lunch-just an easy run with 2 400 pickups to loosen out the legs for BYU

Got to the track and did a warm up mile, then a little later then started the race. I wasn't super happy with my time but I felt really focused and into the race so overall I felt like it was good. I think I just need to get out of cross country mode and then things will be looking good!
