Got up to the Oval and realized that I forgot my bib at home #classic so we had to alter another one but no worries it worked out fine. Elevated my legs and then me and Gan warmed up a mile ish (we stayed inside so we just ran for like 10min.) Figured out what our splits should be each lap (1:43s) got to the line, gun went off. Got out pretty good, had to go around a group that was a few girls wide but it wasn't bad since we started on the strait. Just focused on holding pace, me Gan stayed right together and for a while it was just the two of us. Lap splits were all on pace or a bit faster except like lap 5 which wad a 1:46. I lost Gan with about 800 to go so I just focused on trying to pick up the pace and kept my eyes up. Should've started my kick a bit sooner cuz it could've been faster but that's ok. Overall I was really happy with my race, the 3200 is really my favorite race and definitely felt good to finally do it this season. Shout out to Jamie for being such a great coach and helping us to stay on pace! And shout out to the rest of the team for some solid cheering. Also huge shout out to Gan for being brave and doing the two mile for the first time! Oh and to my parent cuz they just treated me to some Texas Roadhouse which was fantastic as always :)
