Warmed up a mile and did some stretched then headed over to the start line. I got a really good start and was in a good position for the first mile around the valley loop. First mile split was a 6:07 which is pretty fast for me but that's ok cause the hills on the rest of the course slow you down quite a bit. I felt strong on the switchbacks and focused on just keeping them a consistent pace. I tried to really let my legs go on the downhill which felt really good. Then we hit that first hill and I kinda lost it. I was really tired and I slowed down a lot. But I snapped back into focus pretty good on the downhill and stayed that way for the second hill. At the top of that hill there was 800m to go so I went good on the downhill and then focused on picking up speed and getting ready to kick. Once I hit the track I started my kick and it felt really good. I passed a couple of people and finished in a 21:45.8 and 42nd place. They gave out medals to the top 48 so I got one of those which was awesome. I'm definitely happy with how I did this was a great way to finish out the year. These past four seasons have been fantastic and I'm sad to see it end.

Shutouts go to Jamie for running well in her race, she kills it. And to Connor for qualifying for Nationals! Also just to the whole team in general everyone did really well.
